Cooking Around the World will teach your students the proper cooking and baking techniques/skills needed to study recipes of different cuisines around the world. My goal is to give the students a worldly perspective of different cuisines from different cultures around the world. We will also discuss why different cuisines focus on the use of specific ingredients that are native to that area based on cultural traditions, agriculture and weather conditions. This class will help them understand why and how to utilize ingredients to their fullest potential to create healthy and delicious meals.
Please Note: I am happy to try to make accommodations for those students who are gluten and dairy free by choice. Unfortunately, I cannot make accommodations for those with severe food allergies as cross contamination can happen and I do not have a gluten/dairy/or nut free kitchen. Organic fruits/vegetables and other organic foods are used when possible but not exclusively. If you have questions, please feel free to reach out and we can discuss.
